Enabling Kiosk Mode
- On JM Connect, tap the Kiosk icon.
- Choose a location, then tap Save.
- Users can only set up kiosks for locations they're trained in.
- Choose at least one kiosk setting.
- Use my Keypad - Employees must enter their JM Timekeeper Ref. ID.
-
Use my Face - Employees must confirm their identity using Facial Recognition.
Employees must have Facial Recognition set up to use this setting.
- Tap Save and confirm the setup.
Clocking In/Out
Employees see their clock-in time and shift duration at clock-out. Users can choose their clock-in/out method if both options are available.
Using Keypad
- Within Kiosk, tap Use my Keypad.
- Add your Timekeeper Ref. ID to the Enter Pin field.
- Tap Clock In/Out and confirm.
Using Facial Recognition
- Within Kiosk, tap Use my Face. The device's front-facing camera will open.
- Take a clear photo of your face, then tap OK.
- Tap Retry to retake the photo.
- Confirm the prompt to clock in/out.
Removing Kiosk Mode
Only users with the Manager user type can disable Kiosk mode. Kiosk must be disabled to change settings (location and clock-in/out methods).
- Within Kiosk, tap Remove Kiosk Mode.
- Enter your credentials then tap Login.
- Kiosk mode will be removed and JM Connect can be used normally.
Best Practices
- To minimize 'buddy punching', or employees clocking each other in/out using their IDs, consider only using Facial Recognition.
- Mounting the device at the location ensures employees are physically present when clocking in. The device's GPS coordinates are recorded when clocking in/out using Kiosk mode.
- Enable Focus/Work Mode (if available) on your device to restrict access to apps other than JM Connect.
