Offline QR Codes and NFCs
Having the option to download Areas allow employees to complete tasks while offline. This can be useful for areas with weak internet connections, such as stairwells, basements, rural areas, and more.

Enabling Offline Areas
Offline Areas can be enabled per employee using Security Groups.
- Go to Employees > Manage Security Group.
- Click the Edit Pencil in the Actions column on a security group.
- Under the Areas section, enable My Areas.
- Click Save to confirm changes.
Downloading Areas
An internet connection is required to download areas.
- In JM Connect, tap the My Areas icon.
- To download an Area, find the area in the list and tap Download.
- Users see Areas only for their trained Locations.
- For Location Scan: green areas are currently marked Clean, red areas are marked Not Clean.
- To remove the download for an area, tap Remove.
The following areas cannot be downloaded for offline use:
- Areas with shared checklists.
- Public-type (Area Status and Feedback) areas.
- Areas that only have inspection-only tasks.
Scanning Areas Offline
QR Codes and NFCs for downloaded areas can be scanned without an internet connection.
- While the device is offline, tap the Scan Area icon.

Scan the QR/NFC for the downloaded area.
- Attempting to scan an Area that has not been downloaded while offline will prompt an error message.
- Mark tasks and complete the QR Code/NFC.
Syncing Areas
An internet connection is required to sync areas.
- While the device is online, tap My Areas on JM Connect.
- Open the Sync Pending tab.
- Tap Sync for the Areas you'd like to update. Synced areas are removed from the list.
