Clock In/Out with QR Codes
Employees are able to clock in and out from a location by scanning a QR Code. This can help ensure that employees are clocking into the correct locations and get compensated for their work as soon as they begin the job.
Setting Up
- Navigate to Customers > Manage Locations > Edit Pencil for a Location.
- Select the Area subtab.
- Select the + Add Area button.

- Add the required information.
- To allow an employee to clock in from a QR Code, select Enable Clock In.
- To allow an employee to clock out from a QR Code, select Enable Clock Out.

- Select Save to add the QR Code.
Clocking In
- On JM Connect, select the Clock In/Out icon.

- Tap 'Clock In with QR Code'. The camera will open on the device.

- Scan the QR Code.
- The user will be clocked into the location.
Clocking Out
- On JM Connect, select the Clock In/Out icon.

- Tap 'Clock Out'. The camera will open on the device.

- Scan the same QR Code that was used to clock in.
- The user will be clocked out from the location.
Reporting
Clock Ins using QR Codes use the Automatic Time Entry and Mobile Source on the Clock In/Out Report.
GPS location is recorded when employees use QR Clock In/Out.

Best Practices
- Naming the Clock In QR Code appropriately will help employees know which to use. Examples include 'Clock In/Out', 'Check In/Out', 'Start Here', etc.
- Employees can scan the Clock In QR Code using Scan Area/Employee Scan to access the attached checklist. This is a good opportunity for employees to view a general checklist before beginning/finishing their assignments.
