Managers on JM Connect
Alerts
- The Alerts button displays alerts for late in, late out, and missing punches.
- Coming soon! - Alerts for missing employees who have now clocked in, and alerts for unscheduled employee clock-ins.
- Managers will get alerts related to locations that they are marked trained in.
Who’s Working
- The Who’s Working button displays a list of employees who are trained in at least one location and indicates who is currently clocked in.
- Employees who are currently clocked in will be at the top of the list, highlighted green.
- Checkbox filters are available at the top of the screen to show only employees who are clocked in, or not clocked in. You can also use the search feature on the upper right to check the status of employees at a particular location.
Clocking Employees In and Out
If you need to clock an employee in or out, and you have manager privileges, open your JM Connect App and go to Who's Working.
Choose an employee and swipe left. This will display a clock in or clock out button depending on if that employee is clocked in or out.
Schedule
Manage Schedule displays all scheduled employees for each location, and allows you to schedule additional jobs.
Editing a schedule
- In the JM Connect app, click the Manage Schedule icon
- Swipe left and click the edit pencil
- Edit any of the settings listed including rate, job class, time,
- For switching the employee on a shift, follow the steps below.
Adding a new schedule
- In the JM Connect app, click the Manage Schedule icon
- Select the plus sign to add a new schedule
- Select the Customer, Location, and Employee from the dropdowns as they appear
- Set the start date and time and end date and time
- Apply Late in or Early out alerts if desired
- Enter any optional notes and click Save
Open Schedules
Add a new schedule but leave it unassigned for any eligible employee to claim. Eligible employees are limited to the employees who are Trained on the location and have the same Job Class as the Job Class assigned to the schedule.
Open schedules will appear as grey schedules in JM Connect. To assign an employee to an Open schedule, swipe left on the schedule and select the Grey schedule icon. Click in the Select Employee box and choose an employee. At the bottom of the schedule, click Assign. The grey Open schedule will turn white and display the assigned employee's name.
Team Schedules
Choose multiple employees to add to the same schedule. Editing one schedule will edit the schedule for any other employees on the Team Schedule.
Fixed Rate Schedules
Assign a fixed payment amount to a scheduled shift for payroll reports as an alternative to hourly time.

Approving Supply Requests
Managers can approve existing supply requests from their mobile app rather than having to log into the web portal to do so. If you have Manager access to supply requests, you will find the icon in JM Connect labeled Approve Supply Request
A list of pending supply requests will appear.
Swipe left to view the information details of the request, complete the request, or delete the request.
Clicking the blue "i" icon will open the supply request details.
Clicking on the green checkmark will complete the request.
The request will then show as completed in the web portal.
Reconciliation
How to Reconcile inventory from JM Connect. All results submitted from JM Connect will be available in the new Inventory Management System in the Janitorial Manager website, and will display the Source as mobile.
To begin a new reconciliation:
- Click the plus on the top right
- Choose the stock area to reconcile, and today’s date.
- Enter the quantity on hand for each item in the Qty in Hand If any items are needed, enter the number needed in the Qty Requested box. This will automatically generate a Supply Request that can be viewed in both the mobile app and on the website.
- Click Save.
- The reconciliation details will be available in the new Inventory Management System in the Janitorial Manager website with a Status of New and can be completed from there.
To update an existing reconciliation, swipe left on the stock area from the main list and click the edit pencil.
Directory - Employee
- The Employee Directory button will display the employee hire date, recorded incidents, and latest timecard entries. Swipe left on the employee name to view information or to start a chat.
- Users can see information for employees who are trained at the same sites.
- Use the colorful icons after swiping left to Call, Text, check Employee details, and Review/Add attendance incidents.
- Attendance Incidents - Within the Employee Directory, managers are able to record employee incidents right from their phone. Incidents such as (Late, Left Early, Called Off, No Call No Show, Sick, etc). Swipe left on an employee to view or start a new incident.
Directory - Client
- Use the Client Directory to display the location’s address and map, instructions, contact details, and latest time card entries at that location.
- Swipe left on the location name to view information or start a conversation via phone, text, or email.
- Managers will see all of this information, and employees have access to address and map, and instructions.
Click the Map option on the Client to view the location's geofence, nearby employees, and other nearby locations.
