Recurring schedules are used to add any repeating employee shifts.

Adding Recurring Schedules
Recurring schedules can only be added from the web portal.
- Go to Customer > Manage Schedules.
- Select the Recurring tab and click + Add Recurring Schedule.
- Fill in the information on the General, Advanced, and Area tabs. Required fields are marked with an asterisk (*).
- Select Draft or Publish to save the schedule.
- Draft - Schedule drafts are not visible to employees. Any notifications regarding the schedule will be inactive until the schedule is manually published.
- Publish - Published schedules are visible to employees on JM Connect, and are added to the Schedule Dashboards.
- Once saved, schedules generated from the recurring module will be visible from the Schedule tab.
General
- Customer & Location*- The location where the schedule will take place. Only employees trained on a location can be added to the schedule.
- Start & End Time* - The schedule's start and end time. Notifications are generated based on these times.
- Notes - Any notes added to schedules are visible to the employee on JM Connect.

Recurring Settings - This determines how often the schedule is generated.
- Weekly vs. Monthly* - Determines if the schedule should be generated on a weekly or monthly basis.
- Recur Every...* - If weekly, schedules can be generated every X week(s). If monthly, schedules can recur every first to last week of the month.
- Day of the Week* - The day of the week the schedule will generate.
- Start & End Date* - When the schedule will start and stop generating. Specifying an end date is useful if your contract at a location/project ends on a determined date.
- No End Date - If selected, the schedule will be generated indefinitely until the recurring schedule has been deleted.
- Scheduled Type* - Individual, open, or team.

Employee* - The employee(s) assigned to the schedule.
- If creating an Open schedule, specify the Open Type and Employee(s)/Job Class.

Editing & Deleting Recurring Schedules
The following fields on existing recurring schedules cannot be edited:
- Customer
- Location
- Start and End Date
- Recurrence Type and Frequency
- Recurrence Start Date
- Schedule Type
- Recurring Days
- If you'd like edit edit recurring days on an existing recurring schedule, please contact your Account Manager or Customer Support Representative.
Editing Recurring Schedules
- Go to Customers > Manage Schedules.
- On the Recurring tab, select the Edit Pencil in the Actions column.
- Update any details, then select Publish to promote changes.
- Publishing changes on a recurring schedule will immediately update any unpunched individual schedules.
Deleting Recurring Schedules
- Go to Customers > Manage Schedules.
- On the Recurring tab, select the X in the Actions column.
- After confirming the action, the recurring schedule will be deleted.
Any unpunched schedules generated from the recurring module can be deleted from the sub table.
Copying Recurring Schedules
Recurring schedules can be copied/duplicated on the web portal. This is useful when adding multiple recurring schedules with similar settings.
When copying recurring schedules, be mindful of schedules rules:
- Employees can have multiple schedules with the same start and end date at different locations.
- Employees cannot have multiple schedules with the same start and end date at the same location.
- Employees cannot have schedules with overlapping start and end dates at the same location.
On the Recurring tab:
- Click Copy in the Actions column.
- Edit fields as needed.
- Click Publish to add the schedule.
Recurring Schedule Report
This report shows a list of recurring schedules by day of the week.
- Go to Customers > Manage Schedule.
- Select the Recurring Report tab.
FAQ
Question: When are new schedules created from the recurring module?
Answer: The Recurring Schedule job runs daily starting at 12:45 AM (EST).
Question: What happens if a monthly recurring schedule is set for the first Monday of the month, but the first week has no Monday—how is the conflict handled?
Answer: The schedule would occur on the first available Monday of the month.
