Security Groups on JM Connect
Security Groups determine what icons users can see on JM Connect. Security Groups can be used to limit the information that a user can see based on their role in the company.

Creating Security Groups
- Navigate to Employees > Manage Security Group.
- Select + Add Group.
- Toggle the desired icons on or off. A short description of the icon is included under each title.
- Name the Security Group.
- Select Save Changes to confirm the information.
Inventory Manager - Message, Employee Message, Supply Request, Approve Supply Request
Inspector - Message, Employee Message, Manage Quality Checks, My Quality Checks
Subcontractor - Employee Message, Clock In/Out, My Work Orders
Assigning Security Groups
Security Groups can be assigned through two methods: Security Group Listing or by assigning individually.
Once an employee has been assigned a Security Group, their JM Connect app will automatically reflect the changes.
Security Group Listing
- Navigate to Employees > Manage Security Groups.
- Select Security Group Listing.
- To assign a Security Group, navigate to the desired employee and select the dropdown in the Actions column.
- Map the employee to the desired Security Group. The page will save automatically.
- To unmap an employee from a Security Group, select Unnasign (Security Group Name) in the dropdown, or map them to a different group.
Assigning Individually
- Navigate to Employees > Manage Employees.
- Select the Edit Pencil for the desired employee.
- Select the User Settings subtab.
- Under the Security Group dropdown, choose the desired group.
- Selecting the Gear Icon will open the Security Groups page.
- Select Save to confirm changes.
FAQ
Q: I updated my security group but my icons didn't change on JM Connect.
A: Select the Refresh button on JM Connect to reload the screen, or close and reopen the app.
