Bonus Pay with Timecard Rounding
Bonus hours can be applied to employee timecards using Janitorial Manager's Rounding feature. This allows employees to be paid for extra time.

Applying Bonus Hours with Rounding
Rounding cannot be applied to timecards within a processed payroll cycle.
- On the web portal, go to the Gear icon > Payroll > Timecard Rounding.
- Select the Bonus checkbox.
- In the Bonus field, add the number of hours the employee will be paid for.
- Example: An employee worked 1 hour but will be paid for 2. Their number entered in the Bonus field would be 2.
- Select the checkboxes for any timecards that should have the bonus hours applied.
- Select Process to apply the updated hours.
- After processing, the Rounding Hours column will show the new value. Hours can only be rounded up.
Removing Bonus Hours
To remove bonus hours, select the checkboxes for the desired timecards then select Remove Rounding. Hours cannot be reset on processed payroll cycles.
Bonus Pay by Location
To enable Location Rounding:
- Go to the Gear Icon > Manage Account > Settings.
- Enable Location Rounding.
When enabled, all timecards made at the location will round up to the entered value.
Example: Bonus Pay at a location is set to 4 hours. Employee timecards for that location will round up to 4 hours. If an employee works more than 4 hours, their time will not round down.
- Go to Customers > Manage Locations.
- Select the Edit Pencil in the Actions column for a location.
- Under General Information, enable Bonus. Enter the number of hours you'd like timecards at this location to round up to.
- Save the page to confirm changes.
Viewing Bonus Pay on Payroll Reports
Bonus hours are visible on the Employee Payroll report.
- On the web portal, go to Reports > Time > Employee Payroll.
- Overtime hours are calculated using regular (actual) hours. Rounded/Bonus hours are not considered.
-
The pay rate for Bonus hours is determined by the rounded timecard's job class.
-
Rounding does not affect fixed-rate pay.
Bonus and Regular (actual) hours are indicated using the B and R pay types, respectively. Bonus hours are the difference between the actual and rounded times.
In the example below, the employee worked 0.8 hours but was paid for 2 (using rounding). Regular hours show as 0.8, and Bonus hours show as 1.92.
