Scan to Inspect with Quality Checks
Scan to Inspect allows users to scan a QR Code or NFC to begin a Quality Check.

Rating and Scoring Scales must be added to the account before Scan to Inspect can be set up.
Rating and Scoring Scale Settings
Company-level rating and scoring scales will be used if not specified on the Location level.
Company Level Settings
- Navigate to Gear icon > Manage Account.
- Select the Settings tab.
- Under 'QC Scan' select the Rating Scale and Scoring Scale from the dropdown.
- Add the Scan Timeout.
- Select Save to confirm changes.
Location Level Settings
- Navigate to Customers > Manage Locations.
- Select the Edit Pencil in the Actions column for a location.
- Under the General tab, find the QC Scan setting.
- Select the Rating Scale and Scoring Scale from the dropdown.
- Add the Scan Timeout.
- Save the page to confirm changes.
Scan Timeout
The Scan Timeout determines the minutes that can pass between scanning areas before the scan creates a new Quality Check.
As an example:
The Scan Timeout is set to 10 minutes.
- A user scans a QR Code and inspects an area, beginning the Quality Check.
- They walk to another QR Code, scan, and inspect the area.
- After 10 minutes have passed since scanning the last area, scanning an area will begin a new Quality Check.
Scanning QR Codes
- On JM Connect, select the My Quality Checks icon.
- Select the QR Code icon in the top right-hand corner.
- Scan an area's QR Code.
- The following screen will show the area name and basic information. Select View Steps or Start to begin the quality check.
- Rate or skip the available tasks for that area. Once all tasks are marked, the Scan Next Area and Complete Quality Check actions will become available at the bottom of the screen. To continue the quality check, select Scan Next Area.
- Scan another area's QR code. The newly scanned area will be attached to the quality check.
- Select View Steps or Resume to continue the quality check.
Repeat steps #6 and #7 to continue adding areas to the quality check. - When ready, after rating an area, select Complete Quality Check to close the QC.
- Once completed, new areas cannot be added to the same quality check.
- If the quality check is not manually marked as complete, it will automatically be completed after the scan timeout duration has passed (after the last scan).
Scanning NFCs
- On JM Connect, select the My Quality Checks icon.
- Select the NFC icon in the top right-hand corner.
- Tap your device on the area's NFC.
- The following screen will show the area name and basic information. Select View Steps or Start to begin the quality check.
- Rate or skip the available tasks for that area. Once all tasks are marked, the Scan Next Area and Complete Quality Check actions will become available at the bottom of the screen. To continue the quality check, select Scan Next Area.
- Scan another area's NFC The newly scanned area will be attached to the quality check.
- Select View Steps or Resume to continue the quality check.
Repeat steps #6 and #7 to continue adding areas to the quality check. - When ready, after rating an area, select Complete Quality Check to close the QC.
- Once completed, new areas cannot be added to the same quality check.
- If the quality check is not manually marked as complete, it will automatically be completed after the scan timeout duration has passed (after the last scan).
Viewing Scan to Inspect Quality Checks on the Web
- On the web portal, select Inspections > Manage Quality Checks.
- Any Quality Checks created using Scan to Inspect will have Scan as Type.
