Allocating & Transferring Equipment
Allocating equipment tracks which employee the equipment is assigned to. Transferring equipment tracks where the equipment is stored.

Allocating Equipment
Equipment Allocation is used to assign equipment from one employee to another. This notates which employee last had a piece of equipment.
From the Web
- From the portal site, navigate to Tools > Equipment Management System.
- Select the Equipment tab.
- Select the Edit Pencil in the Actions column for a piece of equipment.
- Under Actions, select Allocate to Employee.
- Under Allocate To, select the employee you are assigning/handing off the equipment from the dropdown.
- Current Data shows who the equipment is currently allocated to.
- Select Save to confirm changes.
From JM Connect
- On JM Connect, select the Equipment icon.
- Scan the equipment's QR code.
- On the Details tab, select Allocation.
- Under Allocate To, select the employee you are assigning/handing off the equipment from the dropdown.
- Current Data shows who the equipment is currently allocated to.
- Select Save to confirm changes.
Transferring Equipment
Equipment Transfer is used to move equipment from one location/stock area to another. This notates where the equipment is currently stored.
From the Web
- From the portal site, navigate to Tools > Equipment Management System.
- Select the Equipment tab.
- Select the Edit Pencil in the Actions column for a piece of equipment.
- Under Actions, select Transfer to Location.
- Under Transfer To, select the customer, location, and stock area to which you are moving the equipment.
- Current Data shows where the equipment is currently stored/located.
- Select Save to confirm changes.
From JM Connect
- On JM Connect, select the Equipment icon.
- Scan the equipment's QR code.
- On the Details tab, select Allocation.
- Under Transfer To, select the customer, location, and stock area to which you are moving the equipment.
- Current Data shows where the equipment is currently stored/located.
- Select Save to confirm changes.
Enabling Allocation and Transfer Approval
The 'Require Allocation/Transfer Approval' setting can be enabled per equipment. If enabled, the allocation/transfer request must be manually approved or rejected from the web or JM Connect.
- From the portal site, navigate to Tools > Equipment Management System.
- Select the Equipment tab.
- Select the Edit Pencil in the Actions column for a piece of equipment.
- Under Settings, enable Require Transfer Approval and/or Require Allocation Approval.
- Select Save at the bottom of the page to confirm changes.
Approving Allocations
From the Web
- From the portal site, navigate to Tools > Equipment Management System.
- Select the Equipment tab.
- Select the Edit Pencil in the Actions column for a piece of equipment.
- Select the Allocation subtab.
- Select Approve or Reject on the allocation request.
From JM Connect
- On JM Connect, select the Equipment Allocation icon.
- Each allocation request will be listed individually. Select Approve or Reject per request.
- Select the Filter icon in the top right-hand corner to sort requests.
Approving Transfers
From the Web
- From the portal site, navigate to Tools > Equipment Management System.
- Select the Equipment tab.
- Select the Edit Pencil in the Actions column for a piece of equipment.
- Select the Transfer subtab.
- Select Approve or Reject on the transfer request.
From JM Connect
- On JM Connect, select the Equipment Transfer icon.
- Each transfer request will be listed individually. Select Approve or Reject per request.
- Select the Filter icon in the top right-hand corner to sort requests.
