Maintenance Requests in ETS allow users to submit service requests for repairs, breakdowns, etc.
Enabling Maintenance Tracking
Enabling Maintenance Tracking on a piece of equipment allows users to request maintenance for breakdowns, repairs, etc.
- From the portal site, go to Tools > Equipment Tracking.
- On the Equipment tab, click the Edit Pencil in the Actions column for a piece of equipment.
- Under Settings, enable Track Maintenance.
- Click Save to confirm changes.
Adding New Maintenance Requests
Maintenance Requests can be added from JM Connect or the website.
Only one maintenance request can be opened for a piece of equipment at a time.
From JM Connect
- On JM Connect, select the Equipment icon.
- Scan the QR Code for the piece of equipment that needs a maintenance request.
- Tap + Add Activity.
- Choose Maintenance in the dropdown.
- Fill out the information.
- Title - The name of the request.
- Type - The type of maintenance request (service, repair, breakdown, or parts).
- Description - Any additional notes or details regarding the request.
- Uploading media is optional. Up to three images can be uploaded.
- Tap Save to add the request.
From Web
- From the portal site, go to Tools > Equipment Tracking.

- Open the Maintenance Request subtab.
- Click + Add Maintenance Request.
- Fill out the information.
- Title - The name of the request.
- Type - The type of maintenance request (service, repair, breakdown, or parts).
- Description - Any additional notes or details regarding the request.
- Uploading media is optional. Up to three images can be uploaded.
- Click Save to add the request.
Editing and Deleting Maintenance Requests
To edit a request:
- In ETS, go to the Maintenance Request tab.
- Maintenance Requests can also be viewed from the Equipment tab, then clicking the Edit Pencil on a piece of Equipment, and selecting the Maintenance Request subtab.
- Click the Edit Pencil in the Actions column.
To delete a request:
Deleted requests cannot be recovered. If a maintenance request was scheduled but is no longer needed, consider canceling the request instead.
- In ETS, go to the Maintenance Request tab.
- Maintenance Requests can also be viewed from the Equipment tab, then clicking the Edit Pencil on a piece of Equipment, and selecting the Maintenance Request subtab.
- Click the Trash Can in the Actions column and confirm the record deletion.
Starting and Completing Maintenance Requests
Maintenance Requests can currently only be started and completed from the portal site.
Starting a Maintenance Request
- In ETS, navigate to the Maintenance Request tab.
- In the Actions column, select the Start Maintenance button in the Actions column.
- Fill out the information.
- Estimated Labor Cost - The estimated cost of labor for the request. This may include the employee's wage if the work was completed onsite.
- Estimated Part Cost - The estimated cost of replacement parts needed for maintenance.
- Estimated Total Cost - Estimated total cost. This may include other fees such as taxes, add-ons, etc.
- Estimated Start Date & End Date - The estimated dates that maintenance will begin and end.

Covered Under Warranty - Enable if the maintenance is covered under a warranty. The covered costs can be specified in the following fields.

Offsite Repair - Enable if the maintenance was performed outside of the company/by a third party.
- Name - The name of the company that performed maintenance.
- Address - The address of the company that performed maintenance/where the maintenance took place.
- Phone - The phone number number of the maintenance company.
- Notes - Any optional notes related to the request.
- Images - Up to three images can be added to a maintenance request.
- Select Save to confirm changes.
Completing a Maintenance Request
- In ETS, navigate to the Maintenance Request tab.
- In the Actions column, select the Complete button in the Actions column.
- Review any information as needed.
- Select Save to complete the request.
Cancelling Maintenance Requests
- In ETS, navigate to the Maintenance Request tab.
- In the Actions column, select the Cancel button in the Actions column.
- Review any information as needed.
- Select Save to cancel the request.
