Clients who need Customer Portal access must be added as users.

Creating Customer Portal Users
Customer Portal users must be added from the web portal.
- On the web portal, go to Customers > Manage Customer Portal.
- Select the Portal User tab and click + Add Portal User.
- Fill out the form. Required fields are marked with an asterisk (*).
- Customers and Locations - Determines which locations the user can access. Locations can only be selected for one customer. Multiple locations can be selected.
- First and Last Name - The client's name.
- Username - The client's username.
- Email Address - The client will receive customer portal communications to this address.
- Office Phone and Extension
- Cell Phone
- Notes - Internal only; not visible to client.
- Click Save to create the user.
Enabling Customer Portal Users
Users cannot access the portal until their account is enabled. Once enabled, the client can use their credentials to log into their portal site and as a Client on JM Connect.
- On the web portal, go to Customers > Manage Customer Portal.
- Select the Portal User tab.
- Click Enable in the Actions column.
- An email containing their username, temporary password, and login link will be sent to the client's email address.
- The email is sent from notifications@janitorialmanager.com.
Resetting Customer Portal User Passwords
Resetting a customer portal user will send a new temporary password to their email address.
- On the web portal, go to Customers > Manage Customer Portal.
- Select the Portal User tab.
- Click Reset in the Actions column.
Deleting Customer Portal Users
Deleted customer portal users cannot be restored/reactivated.
- On the web portal, go to Customers > Manage Customer Portal.
- Select the Portal User tab.
- Click the X button in the Actions column.
