Scheduling Open Work Orders
Open work orders can be scheduled as one-time or recurring events. Open work orders can only be claimed by or assigned to one employee.
- Go to Work Management > Manage Work Orders.
- Select + Add Work Order.
- For repeating events, select the Recurring tab, then + Add Recurring Work Order.
- Fill in the required fields, then select Save. Click here for detailed steps on scheduling work orders.
- Select the Labor Cost tab, then check Create open work order.
- Fill in the required information.

Open Type - Open For All (Job Class) or Employee.
- Job Class - Any employee with the selected job class can claim the work order. Multiple job classes can be selected.
- Employee - Any selected employee can claim the work order.

- Select Publish to save the settings.
- On the Actions tab, select Schedule Work Order to allow employees to claim it.
Open work orders cannot be created from JM Connect.
App Notifications
Work order notifications are visible from the Bell icon on JM Connect.

Claiming Open Work Orders
Open work orders can be claimed from JM Connect.
- Select the My Work Orders icon.
- Select the Open Work Orders tab. Any claimable will orders will be listed.
- Tap the work order to view details, including location address, service description, and work description.
- Select Claim. Claimed work orders will move to the My Work Orders tab.
Assigning Open Work Orders
Open work orders can be assigned to employees from the web portal.
- Go to Work Management > Manage Work Orders.
- Select the Edit Pencil in the Actions column for a scheduled work order.
- Select the Labor Cost tab.
- In the Actions column, select Assign.
- Choose an employee from the dropdown, then select Assign.
