Users can access Instructional Media from JM Connect to view images and videos that have been assigned to locations.

Folders need to be established in your account before Instructional Media can be uploaded.  Click here to learn more about File Storage in Janitorial Manager.

Uploading Instructional Media

1. From the web, go to Tools > File Storage.
2. Open the Files tab and click + Add File.
3. Choose Internal as the File Category.
4. Choose Yes for Instructional Media.
5. Under Instructional Media Type, select Image or Video.
6. Add the required information:
   • Name - The name of the file.  This will be visible from JM Connect.
   • Video/Image - The type of media that is being uploaded.
   • Choose File - Upload a file from your computer/device.
     Accepted image file types include GIF, PNG, JPEG, JPG, and HEIC.
     All video file types are accepted.
     Maximum file size: 10MB.
   • File URL - Link to a hosted image or video.
   • Folder - Select the folder that the file will be uploaded to.
   • Description - A short description of the media.
   • File Tags - Short tags that define the media.
7. Click Save to add the media.
   
   

Assigning Media

Assigning to All Locations

1. Go to Tools > File Storage.
2. Open the Files tab.
3. Click Assign to All Locations in the Actions column.

Assigning to Individual Locations

1. Go to Customers > Manage Locations.
2. Click the Edit Pencil for the desired location.
3. Open the Instructional Media subtab.
4. Files that have been uploaded as Instructional Media will be visible.  Click + Assign to attach it to a location.
   
   

Viewing Media on JM Connect

Clock In

Media assigned to a location is only visible from JM Connect when the user is clocked into that location.

1. On JM Connect, select the Clock In/Out icon.
2. Clock into a location.
3. On the Time Clock screen, select the Media icon in the top right-hand corner.
   
4. Images and Videos will be visible from their respective tabs.
   • Viewing Images:
     • Select the thumbnail of an image to view it.
     • Pinch to zoom in or out of an image.
   • Viewing Videos:
     • Select the thumbnail of a video to view it.
     • Use the fast forward/rewind buttons to skip forward or move back 15 seconds at a time.
     • Longer videos may need more time to fully load.
