Enabling and Disabling Stock Transfers
Stock Transfers are enabled by default.
- On the web portal, navigate to Inventory > Inventory Management System.
- Open the Settings tab and select Stock Transfers.
- Enable Stock Transfers, then enable/disable by stock area type.
- Items cannot be transferred from stock areas with transfers disabled.
Transferring between Stock Areas
Transfers document the movement of supplies between stock areas.
- In IMS, select the Stock Areas tab.
- Open the Stock Areas tab.
- Click the Edit Pencil for a stock area.
- Go to the Inventory subtab to view assigned supplies.
- In the Action column, select Transfer.
- Fill out the fields. Required fields are marked with an asterisk (*):
- Destination Stock Area* - Where the item(s) will be moved to. Items can only be transferred to assigned stock areas.
- Transfer QTY* - The transferred amount.

Notes - Any details related to the transfer.
- Transfer Notes are visible on the Stock Adjustment/Ledger report Excel export.
- Select Save to confirm.
View Transfer History
Use the following pages to view supply item movement between stock areas.
Stock Adjustment/Ledger Report
- In IMS, navigate to Reports > Stock Adjustment/Ledger.
- Click the Search bar to filter by item, adjustment type (transfer, purchase, request, etc.), and more.
Stock Area > Inventory
- In IMS, navigate to Stock Areas > Edit Pencil > Inventory.
- Click the + icon for a supply item to view its Stock Adjustment/Ledger.
FAQ
Question: Why are some stock areas missing from the Destination Stock Area dropdown?
Answer: Items can only be transferred to stock areas they’re assigned to. Update the Supply Item Mapping to add the item to other sites.
Question: Are Transfers the only way to move supplies between stock areas?
Answer: No, supplies can also be moved using Supply Requests.
