Setting up iPulse
iPulse is a presence management system that is used to track your employees and equipment within an area.
iPulse is an add-on feature. To add iPulse to your Janitorial Manager account, contact your Sales Representative or Account Manager.
Adding Pulse Locations
- Navigate to Customers > Manage Locations.
- Select the Edit Pencil in the Actions column for the desired location.
- Select the Pulse Location checkbox.
- Save the page to confirm changes.
Adding Pulse Zones
Pulse Zones are defined areas at a Location.
- From the desktop site, navigate to Tools > Manage Pulse Zone.
- Select + Add Pulse Zone.
- Select the Customer and Location.
- Configure the Pulse Zone to an Area.
- Select Save to add the Pulse Zone
Activating Pulse Zones
Activating Pulse Zones signals Janitorial Manager to begin gathering information for that area.
- Navigate to Tools > Manage Pulse Zone.
- Select the Activate button in the Actions column.
Adding Pulse Entities
Pulse Entities, or iBeacons, are the hardware used to track an employee within a Pulse Zone.
- Navigate to Tools > Manage Pulse Entity.
- Select + Add Pulse Entity.
- Add the required information:
- Employee - The employee that the Pulse tag belongs to.
- UUID - This is the unique identifier for the hardware, found on the back of the tag.
- UUIDs added with the improper format will be noted with an exclamation mark (!).
- UUIDs added with the improper format will be noted with an exclamation mark (!).
- Major - On the hardware tag, this is the number before the hyphen. In the example '1-93753', 1 is the Major.
- Minor - On the hardware tag, these are the numbers after the hyphen. In the example '1-93753', 93753 is the Minor.
- Select Save to add the Pulse Entity.
Deactivating Pulse Entities
If a Pulse Entity becomes deactivated, Janitorial Manager will no longer record the tag's location information.
- Navigate to Tools > Manage Pulse Entity.
- Select the Deactivate button in the Actions column.
