Services define work, projects, and activities that are provided to customers. In Janitorial Manager, Services are primarily used to define the scope of Work Orders and Customer Portal requests.

Adding Services
- Go to Customers > Manage Services.
- Click + Add New Service.
- On the Service Maintenance screen, add the Name and Description of the service.
- Click Save.
Assigning Services to Locations
- Go to Customers > Manage Services.
- Click the Edit Pencil in the Actions column on a service.
- Open the Assignment tab.
- In the Actions column, select + Assign to assign the service to the respective location.
- Selecting Unassign will remove the assignment for the respective location.
Assigning a Service to All Locations
- On the Assignment tab, select the Assign to all locations checkbox.
Selecting this option will assign the service to all locations. When new locations are added, the service will be available automatically. This is useful for standard services that will always be available to customers.
Assigning Services to the Customer Portal
Clients using the Customer Portal can request services for their location. Only services assigned to their Portal can be requested.
- On the Assignment tab, assign the service to a location.
- Once assigned, enable the 'Visible to Customer Portal?' toggle for that service.
Managing Services by Location
- Go to Customers > Manage Locations.
- Click the Edit Pencil in the Actions column on a location.
- Click the Services tab.
- A list of all services will be visible. Toggle the switch on a service to assign or unassign it from the location.
- Optionally, select the 'Assign all services' button to assign all services to the location.
Deactivating Services
Inactive services cannot be assigned to new work orders. Services assigned to incomplete work orders cannot be deactivated.
- Go to Customers > Manage Services.
- Click the X button in the Actions column.
- Click the Reactivate button to restore the service.
